New ASD Carers Support Group

Sevenoaks Area Mind announce a new mutual support group for parents and carers of children with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) including Autism and Asperger Syndrome. The ASD Carers Support Group will meet at our Sevenoaks centre on Mondays from 10am – 11:30am, starting on 20 May.

The period leading up to and after an ASD diagnosis for a child can be a very challenging, bewildering and emotional time for parents and carers. Mums from our support groups who have been through this have recognised the need locally for a mutual support group for others in a similar situation. This new group will offer a relaxed, friendly and confidential place to share experiences and feelings with carers and parents who have had similar experiences.
